Generosity has shaped Bethesda’s success for nearly three centuries. We are grateful for the support from generous individuals and companies who have selflessly supported Bethesda.
Today, with a combination of an endowment, GOAL Scholarship contributions, annual fund donations and special event fundraisers, Bethesda Academy provides financial assistance for over 90% of our students.
We are proud that we are able to offer the Bethesda Academy experience to a socially and economically diverse population. It is because of Bethesda’s generous supporters that we have the ability to award financial aid to so many families.
A donation to the Annual Fund provides Bethesda Academy the opportunity to apply your donation to areas of greatest need or most immediate need. You can donate to the general fund, or designate your gift to one of the 5 platforms: Academics, Athletics, Boarding – Campus Life, Spiritual Development, or Work Experience.
It is time to apply!
Signed into law in 2008, HB 1133 is legislation that permits Georgia taxpayers to receive a state income tax credit for amounts contributed to qualified student scholarship organizations (SSOs). Bethesda Academy partners with the state’s leading SSO, The Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program. Learn more by visiting www.goalscholarship.org.
This is a win-win program that allows Georgia taxpayers to redirect the tax dollars they are already paying to offer scholarships to students. There is a maximum amount of $53 million in tax credits available for the entire state of GA.
In 2011, the cap was met in November.
In 2012, the cap was met in August.
This year? With the popularity of the tax credit, projections have the cap being met as early as May.
Whether through a memorial gift for a friend or loved one, or an honorarium of birthdays or anniversaries of special people in your life, donating to Bethesda on behalf of another is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our students.
Thank you for supporting the young men of Bethesda Academy!
Thank you from Lisa Kelly, President of GOAL Scolarship:
