Tours Field Trips

TOURS

Take a tour of Bethesda Academy’s beautiful historic campus! Learn about Bethesda’s amazing history dating back to 1740 and its unique present-day programs.Tours of the farm and garden are available for groups of 5 or more.Depending on how much time you have, your visit can include any or all of the following areas:

  • The William H. Ford, Sr. Museum & Visitors Center
  • Historic Whitefield Chapel
  • The Organic Garden
  • The Beef Cattle Farm
  • The Livestock & Chicken Barn

Bring a sack lunch and have lunch on the grounds under the live oaks or in our picnic pavilion.

For Groups:

Minimum of 5 adults / Maximum 75 adults. Large groups will be divided into smaller groups during the tours.
$10.00 (includes chapel/Museum admission); $15.00 includes farm, garden, museum, and chapel. For an additional fee, we can provide lunch from a limited menu.

Please include tour information in the “comment” section (Group Name, the number of attendees, tour date and time).

For Field Trips:

A minimum of 10 students is required for each field trip.  Field trips can be scheduled Monday-Friday beginning at 9:00 A.M. Field trips can take 2.5 – 3.5 hours depending on your choice of locations to visit, group size and inquisitiveness. Field trips are $7 per student and will include a visit to your choice of the following:

  • The William H. Ford, Sr. Museum & Visitors Center
  • Historic Whitefield Chapel
  • The Organic Garden
  • The Beef Cattle Farm

**1 teacher/staff chaperone per 12 students is required and admitted free of charge.  Teachers/staff and/or chaperones are expected to participate and assist with discipline and safety. Additional chaperones are $3 per chaperone**

A field trip will be booked once the Field Trip Registration Form has been received.  Once a field trip has been booked, you will receive a confirmation email that will include any special instructions and directions to Bethesda Academy.  Payment must be received at least one week prior to the field trip date.

Cancellation Policy:

As the large majority of the field trip occurs out of doors if there is inclement weather the field trip will need to be rescheduled to another date.

Other Information:

  • Students should wear weather appropriate clothing and MUST wear closed toe shoes.
  • Sunblock and insect repellent are highly recommended.
  • Students may bring a sack lunch and drinks and have lunch either under the live oaks or in our covered picnic pavilion.
  • At the time of scheduling your field trip, please let us know if any of your students have special needs.
