After School Program

Bethesda Plus signifies what happens after the regular school day ends. Research strongly suggests that after school programming, both during the regular academic year and during the summer, enhances and strengthens the learning process. At Bethesda Academy, service clubs are also incorporated into the Bethesda Plus experience. Bethesda students participate in service projects across the Savannah community. Additional tutoring, and counseling support are also offered as part of the Bethesda Plus program, along with summer programming to enhance academic gains made during the regular school year.

Students may remain on campus under the supervision of Bethesda After-School Care staff until 5:30pm on school days for a small additional fee.

Summer Programming

Horizons SavannahIn 2012, Horizons Savannah announced a new partnership with Bethesda Academy: this summer, Bethesda Academy will host students from Horizons Savannah’s academic enrichment program in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades. All Horizons students will continue to begin and end their day at Savannah Country Day School, making this a true collaborative effort between these two private schools and this critical summer program.  Horizons Savannah takes place Monday through Friday for six weeks, beginning mid-June.  To read more about Horizons Savannah and this exciting collaboration, please click here.

A special thank you to our friends at the Rotary Club of Skidaway Island for providing a grant in support of the Horizons Savannah – Bethesda Academy collaboration!  We hope that our Rotarian friends will visit the program in action very soon.
